That's why I just refer to people by their number :P And considering first was planning to just fix everything later and had already shot a lot of eighth's followers minutes beforehand, it seemed like he could have easily done it.

Lain is strange, but definitely interesting and worth the watch.

Yes - I'll be watching Lain again for sure. I'm also going to try the others from the same source: Haibane Renmei and Texhnolyze (which I gather is tough to watch).
Meanwhile, for a break, I'm watching Girls und Panzer - using the sensible subtitles, not the half-German ones which, if not actually offensive, are definitely in poor taste, and in any case don't reflect anything that is part of the original. Anyway, the show is pure brainless fluff, but rather delightfully done I have to admit.

And did the series end at the end of the 12th episode? Because I can't tell if that's game over or to be continued.
