Anime anyone?

GarandMarine:
I just watched a battleship falling in love with a man.

...yep. Too much anime.

Time to download Game of Thrones or something before I lose my mind.

LeeC:
Just watch seasons 2-5 of Parks and Rec, or youtube ron swanson.

GarandMarine:
Kill La Kill definitely delivered this ep! It isn't quite my favorite of this season, it's style of slapstick has never been tops for me over my preferred genres... but it's damn good.

Meanwhile speaking of DELIVERING.

Golden Time delivered in SPADES today. Some very nice character interplay, some plot progression/personal development for our male and female leads AND a big juicy reveal about amnesiac male lead's... relatively untroubled, normal past. We can taste blood in the water! errr... plot. This is gonna get juicy!

So far my top anime this season:
1. Strike the Blood
2. Golden Time
3. Arpeggio of Blue Steel/Kill La Kill
4. Gingitsune (Silve Fox)
5. Log Horizon/Non Non Byori

Infinite Stratos 2 is not on this list... cause it's a sequel to a personal favorite, so it'd skew the results on fairly. All told... I thought last season was good, and while some of my friends are unimpressed I am /very/ pleased with this season so far.

Dream:
Well, i watched up to episode 24 of Nadia

I think the phrase that could best summarize my experience with those episodes is "Woah, what?". From Gargoyle

(click to show/hide)attacking the Nautilus with a fucking spaceship, the Wunder's theme and the Nautilus going out (did it?) with a bang, to all of episode 22 and Electra's (lolAnno i see what you did there) infodump, and finally the farewell of Grandis's gang and the Nautilus (Specially Nemo and Electra) to apparently never be seen again
It was all the classical lolAnno epic/majestic writing that leaves with your mouth hanging open. It was so much awesome and great form and incredible suprises/plot twist my mind could barely process it. I know i've said this many times when it comes to Anno's work but just when you think it can't top itself... Anno delivers. Just what you'd expect from the master.

It's been a while since i saw some of the episodes following 16, but it was really nice and interesting to see episodes primarily centered on a self-contained message/topic that still manages to seamlessly connect with the greater narrative of the series. Episode 17 and it's focus on adulthood is probably the most noticeable example of what i'm saying.

But of course, it's not all peaches and roses with Nadia. I have reached that part of the series.

Hahahaha WRONG, KIDS! THIS IS ANIME'S FAVORITE ISLAND
