Anime anyone?

--- Quote from: Kugai on 25 Sep 2014, 15:14 ---The trouble with living down here where I am is that there's frak all in the way of Anime available in my local area. It wasn't always the case, a franchise called The Gamesman used to carry Anime, but EA brought out the franchise and stopped them carrying them. I've yet to find a new location locally, and I simply can't afford the cost of buying them from overseas.

You might want to look into crunchyroll and other on the up and up streaming services Kugai. That might be able to do more for you then purchasing physical copies right now.
--- Quote from: Linds on 25 Sep 2014, 15:36 ---That's weird, considering you're much closer to Japan than America or England... I mostly stream mine, but I do borrow a lot of DVDs from friends, so I can see how that would really suck not having access to buying it.

Not too weird when you think about it. Just because a nation is close doesn't mean there's a market enough for an importer to be doing the leg work of bringing product in, or companies interested enough to do their own distribution. America is a MASSIVE market for anime which is why Funimation and other companies do what they do here.

Good point.

Define "come out". Officially in English, I don't think so. Do I have an HD fansub sitting on my computer right now? Yes.

As in be available on BluRay. Because we were borrowing them from a friend, although I don't think I'd mind adding them to our slowly growing collection.

Well, I was watching in 1080p. Without giving too much away, awesome beginning and ending, but the middle was a touch slow, given how much had changed/was going on.
Kugai:
I am actually beginning to look into that GM.

In addition to what GM said, there's always using a VPN with a US exit to be able to access the US version of Netflix. Even if you only get a 6Mbps plan, that'd give you between 720p and 1080p streaming from their library as well, and they have older titles that CR usually doesn't have.
