--- Quote from: scarred on 14 Feb 2011, 09:52 ---Yeah I'll download it but I've never greeted Radiohead news or listened to a Radiohead album with any enthusiasm. They've had a few good tracks in the past though.

This, pretty much. I like The Bends and OK Computer, but I feel like I was more into this band growing up. I mean I get they're influential and blah blah, but I really don't think they're anything special anymore.
Durin:
Radiohead still and always probably will hold a special place in my heart. The first band I ever saw in concert. And it was amazing.
De_El:
I've been considering what to make of this sudden announcement and the album's immanent release, and while I would be loath to lavish all kinds of praise on Radiohead, they consistently release records I find something I like in, and I've never completely ignored a Radiohead album the way I did, say, The Suburbs. So while I'm not gonna get huge hopes or expect anything in particular, I'm definitely going to listen to this when it comes out.

that last photo pretty neatly encapsulates why I dig Radiohead more now than when they were doing all the "important " stuff they did.
Hey, kids! Do you think "King of Limbs" is an extremely dumb thing to call a record? You're right, but it turns out the explanation behind it is actually quite cool;
--- Quote ---The name of the new album relates to an oak tree in Wiltshire’s Savernake Forest, thought to be around 1,000 years old. The forest lies around three miles away from Tottenham House, a listed country house where Radiohead recorded part of In Rainbows.
