It's ok, I do that when people pronounce it "crown".

i live in bakersfield so there are many many encounters with very southern-tinged drawls
i remember making fun of a kid in second grade who said "crayon" like "crown"
well actually i never talked that much before third grade so maybe i didn't make fun of him but i definitely did so mentally.

there is a vowel there, it makes another syllable
