As for the "crown" thing, that's something I've noticed from family members who are originally from very rural parts of Kentucky. That's about it, though.

I think I usually pronounce crayon like "cran" in cranberry. I used to fully pronounce it but was made fun of for it. I took speech therapy as a kid (I said my Rs funny) so I was taught to pronounce everything properly. Then in middle school and high school I was picked on for over-pronouncing everything. I still say things like clothing instead of clothes, though.
