The connection is slightly remote; my great-grandmother (who lived till I was seven, so I knew her) had the maiden name Awdrey (and married name Cremer). The Reverand Wilbert Awdrey was in line from her father. He lived latterly not so far from Lechlade, where my sister's husband (Rev Stephen Parsons) was vicar for many years, and she got to know him quite well; I don't recall that I ever met him, though.
The Seldom Killer:
I used to go to school with his granddaughter and he once attended one of my family's Christmas parties during advent and read to the Children.
So there you have it, six degrees of Questionable Content.
Whilst growing up respective parents had notions that we would get married in the casual way that many parents will pair off their kids. Turns out we're incompatible though, she's a beautiful, wonderful, kind and compassionate person and I'm an asshat. Thus my own failings have saved you from the embaressment of any tenuous relationship.
I miss Lechlade, lovely little town.
