I think we should update Princess Mononoke into a western animation style like king of the hill.

Tom:
Shows, movies whatever can have a visual style that is pretty much a strong part of its identity. Imagine if Pushing Daises looked like Bones, that's what "updating" Daria to an anime would be like. Daria was a show about 90's American alternative culture, the series visual style reflected this and has aged well (if at all). In order to make the show work as an anime you'd have to overhaul it from the ground up. Daria is what it is, you can't change it that way and still have the same or a similar show.

Cartilage Head:
It seems that Kugai has honestly come to believe that anime is the highest form of entertainment, for some reason or another. I don't believe there is any actual logic toward this bias other than an intensely troublesome obsession with anime.
