Why did Marten and Faye release two albums about melting things?

EDIT: new band is Dora and Marten with band "Chilling Vision of the Future" and album "All the Mice Fuck You" (from the antepenultimate and penultimate panels: the last panel is empty because Yelling Bird got eaten by a hawk)
