JD:
On the other hand I am loving this polymaths EP. Would anyone mind uploading the LP?

He's either the answer or will tell you the answer.

it's really fucking boring here so people get really intense into either making music or watching professional sports

Also on the sadly departed Polymaths record.

since you're all incredibly desperate for it, here's a list of my credits:

* these estates (obvs) – guitar & vox
* architects & builders (mostly on crater, the title track of which i wrote the lyrics for) – guitar, bass, drums, vox, occasionally keyboards played through a guitar pickup (live only)
* gravity kills children – drums, arranging
* polymaths – [deep breath] background vocals on "strike" (so long, castle road EP), guitar solos on several tracks on home again (except "unreliable", the best solo on the record probably), backing vocals on "letters from home" and guitar/bass in the last live incarnation of the band
* rah rah – mandolin on "my guarantee" and backing vocals on "duet for emmylou and the greivous angel" and i think that's it?
* "marshall burns & the heat" (a pickup band playing non-rah rah MB songs, only one record, technically i'm not supposed to have a copy but i do) – bass, some guitars, mandolin, backing vox, arrangement
the only one of those i'm not really sold on is the last one – the record isn't mixed very well and all the vocals sound like super weird on it, too. there's several instances where i'm audibly shouting but i'm buried in the distance on the left channel and there's a really close-sounding female vocal over top of it. it's disorienting.

i love being a hired gun, though. i wish i was asked more often.

Johnny C:
also you should listen to los campesinos! dude, they're the best bss-ish band (and now they make like abrasive noise-pop twee or something, i don't know, but it's incredible)

Melodic:
i like that i'm listening to music with jc in it
and yet none of it has been introduced to me from this message board, or the internet in general.

jc, you suck some rad bands' dicks
