I was thinking more of an ancient druidic rite of planting a tree at the full moon, and giving it a human sacrifice for its first watering...

I can't be sure I'm right, but I took Odin's remark about references to Dune not being "cool" as an allusion to the eponymous planet's average temperature.
CEOIII:
"Shit, man, I hit that so hard Rhianna wrote a song about it!"
"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang"
That was wrong and I'm sorry. Kinda sorry.
iduguphergrave:
Somehow I just can't picture Marten talking like a fratboy (thats the second time I've mentioned fratboys in 8 hours wtf). I have a feeling part of the reason for this is just to annoy Faye
Also Jeph forgot the high-five sound effect. Daaaaaaaaaaaaang
Dr. ROFLPWN:
>Marten and Angus: Do the bro thing.
You succeed with flying colors, assholes.
Angus, dat metaphor. This is why you are one of my favorite characters. Shit like this. Yes. I am still giggling at Faye's angryface in the last panel.
Also, I move that Dune references are cool so long as they ref the terrible movie and/or don't go on too long. And they aren't that fucking Bene Gesserit mantra or a bastardization of said mantra. Shit gets old real quick.
