Farewell [insert QC character here]! See you again never!
pwhodges:
I meant Tai going rather quickly after her friend (and employee) Marten's ex, like Dora went rather quickly after her friend (and employee) Faye's "not-quite-ex". Very comparable, I'd say, though the differences are apparent (Tai failed, for starters). And Faye and Marten both accepted it, in their different ways.

I voted Angus, not because I dislike the character, but because he doesn't seem to have a purpose. Personally I don't Faye and him going anywhere, or at least anywhere interesting and I'd rather lose the character than go through another OMG-breakup-drama storyline.
Who knows though, maybe Jeph will surprise me with something.
Carl-E:
Angus' "purpose" in the strip is to give Faye an opportunity to recover from her inability to deal with a relationship. He also demonstrated someone with the same matng dance as Faye (snark as an attractive quality). Plus bringing Marigold into the strip, but that may be incidental - Jeph clearly planned Angus, I don't know about Mari.

Maybe.

Whether he planned it or not, I'm glad he did.
I want her back... *pouts*
