I was fairly sure the Warcraft movie was exactly that... a Warcraft movie, not necessarily WoW. This is the reason I was suspending skepticism until I see something of it.

Making a movie within the WoW setting would be difficult to pull off, whereas a Warcraft movie I guess could write itself, if you just took the storylines from the strategy titles.

Any Blizzard series could be condensed and worked into a very watchable movie, given enough talent and dedication to the source material.

It's a pity Hollywood is mostly destined to shit on source material like it was toilet paper

Diablo and Starcraft could also make interesting movies. Blizzard usually puts a lot into the backstory so there is a ton to work from.

Wasn't Sam Raimi in talks to do the WoW movie? And Bruce Campbell always cameos in Sam Raimi films ergo Bruce Campbell as Leroy Jenkins.
