Okay, so I just heard a Deerhoof song on the Radio..

Actually, I'd be interested in this answer. That was the first song of theirs I heard.

My Deerhoof turning point was "Scream Team" on The Runner's Four. I was halfway through the album and was in the "yeah they rock, but..." category, until I finally understood the role of Satomi's vocals in the band. I then literally stopped the album and started over and it quickly became a favorite of mine.
How are the last two albums? I was pretty much around for Runner's Four and Friend Opportunity but haven't really given a fair shake to Offend Maggie or Deerhoof vs. Evil.

I like Offend Maggie a lot. It's good. I actually haven't heard VS. Evil. I am silly that way.
This is probably my favorite from Offend Maggie.

I am not so familiar with Offend Maggie but I spun Vs Evil a lot. Or... okay iTunes says "twice" but I know I liked it a lot!
