Did I miss some big drama here recently?

I am exactly halfway now.
I hope that I am mistaken for 30 forever, it's a good age to look like.

Halfway from 16 to 30 is 23 is one answer.
Another is to ignore the 16, and say 35 (halfway to three-score years and ten), so he was thought 30 when 16 and is still thought 30 when 35 - maturity and youth in equal measure!
