Makes sense, it'd be really hard to keep up the international superhero thing if everyone sees your actions as a matter of backdoor U.S. imperialism. On the other hand, Clark Kent is still a private/tax paying US citizen and Bruce did it first on Earth-0.

isn't his us citizenship kind of fraudulent anyway? unless he went through the naturalization process i suppose. but then technically i don't think you can do that if you enter the country without a visa.
