Modifier: In hindsight, I should've said that Hanners would respond to such an attempt with "a gentleman NEVER asks a lady to do that on the first date!"

Is it cold in here was probably responding more to the turn the previous poster took in the conversation.  Your response was tame enough, and true to character, but it was  another step down a path we shouldn't tread. 


why am I explaining other people's posts?
