actually when i made this thread, this is exactly how i envisioned the film ending.

Why? Inglorious Basterds had an unarmed Hitler's face being pasted off by a machine gun and nobody really minded ('cepting the usual worryworts who think violent revenge fantasies are all "bad"). Rob Zombie got a cult action hit featuring a kidnapped woman being raped with a gun. All they need to do is insert a (probably doomed) soulful brown ally ala The Kingdom to balance out the "they shot an unarmed brown dude!" factor. I mean I think film violence is prevalent and celebrated enough now that it's a little ridiculous to wring your hands over whether or not the actor getting fake-shot onscreen is problematic because the real guy got real-shot offscreen. How is it any different than any other instance of dramatized murder? Did people get in a tizzy about Zodiac?

Elysiana:
Disney's already got a head start.

series of good points except that they didn't exactly suggest that the zodiac killer was the sympathetic protagonist of that movie

Bumble78:
Did you guys see the part where they blew up the Helicopter?  That was a bad ass scene.
