One thing enjoyable about this strip is, in almost 8 years of continious production, there has never been a ret-con.
Excelent continuity and even covering for characters that were ignored for extended periods.

I think Dora needs a break. She has had a lot going on. Perhaps the return of the Raven will mean that there is a chance of Dora having some time off and Faye seems to be the fire fighter in this situation. She is actively looking for solutions and standing up to Dora for the good of COD.
I often find that it is only after you get through bad/difficult times that you let go and allow yourself to feel the emotions you were holding at bay. Hense it is possible that Dora is pissed off with herself over how badly she handled both recently past as well as current problems. This means that she is lashing out at Faye because she is the one holding it together for a change.
