Google+ - It's like a facebook where you can hide drunk pics from grandma

LTK:
I'm curious, what makes this the social network you want to join, rather than any other?

Jace:
Its sort of like Twitter and Tumblr double teamed Facebook in her virtualgina and then when G+ came out they couldn't tell who the father was.

That's a good question, actually. I'd like to join such networks in general, but I haven't found one yet which didn't annoy me from the very beginning or didn't turn out as uninteresting for me very soon.
My reasons not to really join other networks until now were "visually annoying, annoying/difficult to use, focuses on things I don't care about, ToS made me angry, not enough members (who are interested in the same things as I am), looks like it's members are generally retarded", and I don't find that's true for Google until now.

For Google+, those hangouts, sparks and easy-to-use circles look especially interesting to me - if they work as well as their advertisement tells me.

LTK:
Yeah, a lack of negatives is what I'm seeing a lot.

Apparently Google is operating another social networking site: Orkut. It has tens of millions of users according to this article. 50% of its users are in Brazil, 20% in India, 17% in the US and the rest of the users are below 1% representation. I've never heard of it, has anyone else?

calenlass:
Elysiana, you will never see which circles you are placed in by someone else, and no one else will be able to see what circles you placed them into. That is the whole point of the privacy stuff.

As for know seeing who has saved you in the first place, I have never tried to find this out, but if that is what you mean, I guess you could send them a message about it.
