Someone please explain to me why this is funny. I suppose the joke is that there wasn't any snow in July? Why would you go to a ski resort then?

She wasn't going to ski; she just assumed (through ignorance) that "ski resorts" have snow at street level and skiing all the year round. Ignorance is funny, right? :oops:

The setting of many ski resorts makes them attractive resorts in the summer, often linked to nearby golf courses.
