We were supposed to get the 17 year ones this summer.  I remember them last time - the noise was huge, and there were several in the neighborhood. 

Not a peep this year.  I suppose they could've migrated, or conditions were bad, but... well, it's weird to expect something that huge and then not have it come.

Not sure that would work with US standard windshields - the officer would've bounced.
