pendrake:
For comic #2016...

1. I like how Marten is looks for the coming hike, tan shirt and (I am guessing) khaki shorts.  He at least is trying to dress the part.

2. It will be "interesting" to see how Marten's indie physique handles nature hiking, alongside an energetic teenager, a kawaii robot, a cute bakery girl, and a quietly looming bouncer/baker.

3. While this strip was amusing enough on its own, it disturbs me slightly at its ending, particularly with Marten's final lines.  I get the feeling we are seeing the tangible beginnings of Faye and Marten starting to drift away from each other, even as best friends.  This would not be intentional on either characters' part, but as consequence of how their QC-lives have been going.

4. I could be overthinking (or brain-numb thinking) all this of course, from long work fatigue.  But I could not go to sleep without catching up on my QC since #1999  .

Yeah, the sunn:))) t-shirt is, for my (admittedly strange) taste, is the funniest shirt yet.

Maybe that's because it's black on yellow (instead of light on dark).

Maybe it's also because I'm on the Sunn O))) album, Monoliths & Dimensions and have some idea what they're like.

Arancaytar:
Notice that Faye is not comparing Marten's butt to Sven's, which not just she, but everyone in the comic considers the gold standard of butts. Of course, mentioning that wouldn't lead to happy memories, so she probably deliberately glosses over it now that she is in a relationship.

iduguphergrave:
Or maybe she found that Angus' behind is even more pert and shapely than Sven's. She's discovered a whole new level of pleasing posteriors.

akronnick:
It's funny how quickly being in a satisfying relationship can lead one to change one's standards.

They're not set in stone people!
