Just proving that no matter what convention or concert you go to, there will always be that ONE guy in camo shorts and a mohawk.

From our QC gaming day at GenCon. None of us thought to take a picture of everyone, but oh well!

Hey, it's me! I'm the internet on the right. It was a great time. I am still kicking myself for not get any pictures.
I should've taken at least one picture of each game we played. Maybe next year.

While we were at that table, we played: Gloom, Munchkin, Zombies!, Smash Up, Ticket to Ride: Europe, and then I think some stayed to play Legend of the Five Rings... I don't think I missed anything? But yeah, I wish I had gotten more pictures. I think if I had remembered to bring our small camera and not just my phone, I would have taken more photos.

Redball:
If I can attend next year, I'll be the photographer, since I expect to have zerozipzilch familiarity with the games. Haven't learned a card game since Canasta, haven't played board games since Monopoly and Parcheesi and no experience at all with role playing games.

Lines:
The cool thing about GenCon is that people explain the rules to you for game demos and will play with you in case you have questions. Also there's a game library to test games on your own, which is nice if it's similar to another one you've played, but can be tricky if it's not. (One we tried to play we barely understood, but the rest were fine.) And the events tell you how much experience is required, so there's always an opportunity to find games you've never played before that are geared for new players.
