Hmm.

So, the manual specifically says that the COVERING should be removed and put in the dishwasher.

Momo is angry, and going to take a shower. Also, she's new to her full-size humanoid form, and may not be used to showering.

Prediction: She'll forget that she's supposed to take her covering off and clean that, and short something out, requiring her to be moved back to her old chassis.

Paranoid:
I had that thought too, but I doubt Jeph plans to go there.  Not that Jeph can't be cruel to his characters, but I get the impression he's enjoying writing about Momo's new chassis too much to seriously consider putting her back in her old one.  All IMHO of course.

More practically, if her chassis can't handle a shower, what would happen if she was caught outdoors during a heavy rain?  I suspect the manual's instruction to remove the covering is required in order to make it fit inside the dishwasher: I don't know about anyone else, but I doubt I would have fit into a dishwasher when I was thirteen.  At least not without breaking something.

They've always been on the wall. Take a look back at the Sven/Momo dream sequence; they were there back then as well.

EDIT: And Marigold is obviously teasing Momo in that last panel.

EDIT AGAIN: Uh, how do you set a dishwasher to the "gentle" cycle?

Sylentknight:
Maybe the protective covering, ie: the skin, comes off in sections allowing it to be placed in the dishwasher?
As for the Marten/Marigold thing - that would take some serious writing and probably a year or two to unfold. Not impossible or unbelievable but...
Also, on the subject of late strips, I get it for free so I feel fortunate to get them at all. There are webcomics I follow that are very random. "Sequential Art" comes to mind. So if Jeph is running late on a strip or even misses I'm okay because I have other things to do anyway.
That's enough from me.

I certainly hope not.  I hope that Jeph enjoys drawing Kid Sister (as I have been calling her in my head) as much as he seems to....  and as much as I like seeing Momo v2.0.
