The lyrics can remind you of the Decemberists, but much less annoying. Good instrumentals if you like semi-folksy / semi-bluesy acoustic stuff. Give it a listen.

My friend's band Pilgrims' Way are a great folky english band who just released a Christmas single for their own amusement. They've been nominated for a Radio Two Folk Award (really big deal!) and the word on the folk circuit is that this'll be their year. I hope so! Give them a listen (you can listen to a track sample on Amazon, or if you can't access amazon because it's .co.uk try iTunes).
