Some thoughts on voice-casting while Jeph remains without electricity...
I tried to avoid any particularly "big" (or "expensive") names for voice casting, since this would be for a regular animated series, or an extended number of series-episodes.
1. Marten Reed = ???
2. Faye Whitaker = ???
3. Dora Biachi = Nikki Cox (Mary Connell from Las Vegas TV series), Morena Baccarin (Inara Serra from Firefly); both ladies can do that "hard-experienced, beyond her years" kind of tone that I think Dora would have.
4. Hannelore Ellicott-Chatham = Jewel Staite (Kaylee from Firefly); someone who could have the right balance of "crazy" and "cute" for voicing.
5. Pintsize = Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek: TNG, but has done a lot of antagonist character voice-actings), Bob Saget (suggested by others in other threads, for which I agreed it is actually a good suggestion for voice-casting)
6. Raven Pritchard = ???
7. Steve = Khary Payton (Cyborg from Teen Titans..."boo-yah!", Aqualad-Kaldur from Young Justice)
8. Sven Biachi = Val Kilmer; if anyone could voice the charming smarmosaur...
9. Penelope Gaines = ???
10. Tai = ???
11. Winslow = ???
12. Angus McPhee = Alan Tudyk (Walsh from Firefly, and many others); who better for snarky & witty remarks with great delivery?
13. Marigold Louse Farmer = Tara Strong (Raven from Teen Titans); those who suggest her for Dora, it was not a bad idea. But I think the downcast tone would suit Marigold better.
14. Amir Afridi = Oded Fehr(?)
15. Elliot = Patrick Warburton (Joe Swanson from Family Guy, The Tick, and lots others)
16. Cosette Hurlbut = ???
17. Dale = ???
18. Henry Reed = William H. Macy; the "indie" market's foremost paragon, for an "indie" themed series
19. Jimbo = John DeMaggio (Bender from Futurama, and lots others), or Adam Baldwin (Jayne Cobb from Firefly), or Ed Asner
20. Momo(-tan) = Hynden Walsh (Starfire from Teen Titans); suggested from another thread, and now I cannot hear anyone else as such... ;)
21. Padma = ???
22. Wil = ???
23. Yelling Bird = Gilbert Gottfried (who has past experience in foul-mouthed avians...)
