GeoCorn:
From the stories I've heard, I'm glad I wasn't alive yet.

Border Reiver:
So, the Canucks shouldn't be pointing and laughing?

I'm still looking at my lawn, and getting ready to send the kids out for tric or treatin'.

pwhodges:
Well to be fair, it was a really exceptional event - in one place in Connecticut 27 inches fell, when the leaves were still on the trees, compared with a previous recorded maximum in October of 1/2 inch!  The Connecticut power company has more lines down at once than it has ever had before.

Carl-E:
Only the third time since it was built (just before the civil war) that Central Park in NYC has had snow in October.

It is indeed a unique event.

Method of Madness:

--- Quote from: Carl-E on 30 Oct 2011, 12:25 ---Remember, THIS WAS A TEST.  IF THIS HAD BEEN AN ACTUAL SNOWSTORM, YOU'D BE WITHOUT POWER, FOOD OR TRANSPOTATION FOR A WEEK!  THIS WAS ONLY A TEST!
--- End quote ---
I've been without power since Saturday, and at this point, a week seems just as likely as not >_>
