Judith Jewcakes Shimer's full band, Pretty Balanced, releases their sophomore LP pre-name change. "Conical Monocle" is a sporadic and schizophrenic blend of piano chamber-rock and glitchy alt-tronica. Highlights include "Amtrax," "Station Waggin," and "Acid In[di]gestion." An underappreciated gem.
