It took me a couple listens to get into it, but this has been on regular rotation since. Pick this up, its good.

Here's allmusic's opinion

--- Quote ---The music of Brooklyn's Yeasayer is an eclectic, genre-bending journey into pop, rock, Middle Eastern and African musics, folk, and dub. Vocalist/keyboardist Chris Keating and vocalist/guitarist Anand Wilder were both raised in Baltimore, where they honed their vocal skills in a barbershop quartet and played in a high-school band, Sic Transit, before leaving town to attend different colleges. Years later, the two relocated to New York and began shaping the project that would soon become Yeasayer. Wilder's cousin, Ira Wolf Tuton, joined as the group's bassist, and drummer Luke Fasano was the last member to climb aboard in May 2006. The band set to work on recording its debut album, All Hour Cymbals, which was unveiled to much critical acclaim (not to mention a healthy blogosphere buzz) in October 2007. International tour dates followed, during which the band honed its blend of live instrumentation and prerecorded samples.

VSnaresFreak:
great post albatron, Yeasayer rocks. Just out of curiosity, did anyone check out Pretty Lights?  Please do if not, I highly recommend it.  Also I know your not supposed to request but I'm trying to find a 12" by Cyne called Movements and also African Elephants, another Cyne 12".  If someone has some extra time and could fetch or find both those for me that'd be solid.

Got a couple CDs for very cheap at a used store, and I figured I'd share them here. My computer is set to rip at a really high quality so consider yourselves warned as far as file size goes.

The Coathangers - s/t

Raucous and silly girl-punk. Basically a really good time.

Edit: this is taking a ridiculous amount of time I will have to get back to you on this, with another One AM Radio album coming up.

Mr. Tool:
Does anybody remember the Westside of the Moon mixtape I posted a few pages back?

Well now Dert (aka Dert Floyd) has a new mixtape out. However instead of cutting up Pink Floyd tunes, this time he's tackling the music of Bjork.

Dert - Talk Strange

Just like Westside, Dert is giving this one away for free.
