Obama bumps and Bush bumps, so I guess it's an American thing.

Thought; would we be as annoyed at Marten's behavior if a woman was doing them? Talking about his feelings with other people, angsting about what a night of sex meant and where that relationship would go, wondering whether to just enjoy the sex or lament its lack of continuity?

Is it cold in here?:
Didn't Marten allude to chest-bumping when Tai gave him that quiz from her sexuality course?

NotAwesomeAnymore:
Indeed, Marten isn't doing the half full/empty debate, he's complaining about it. I've been reading what he's saying as, "I like Padma and we had sex, which sucks because she's moving away, and to make it all even worse now I have to make this decision to be happy or sad!"
Did anyone else notice as soon as Steve gave some sound advice, Marten's mood didn't change one bit, he just shifted the same unhappiness onto the other perspective? In panel 1, Marten is unhappy that he's losing Padma. Steve points out that he doesn't necessarily have Padma in the first place so then Marten gets unhappy about that. His happiness a paradox. You close 1 hole and another opens.

@LoliBot That describes it perfectly. Good one!

Vurogj:
Aside from the content (Steve is being a chill bro, and NOT ironically this time), I read this at work, and at first thought it looked a bit odd but put it down to the difference in monitor, reading it at home I definitely detect a difference in the art style, and I like it a lot. Steve looks more daaaaaaaaang worthy than usual. I agree about Marten's hair too, it bugs me when hair does that.

Yeah, that one line doesn't sit right with me.

--- End quote ---

It's exactly what Marten needed to hear, though. I hope my friends would be good enough to be that straight with me when I need it.
