I think it's awesome that the comic author could write a little adventure without turning the entire comic plot on its head and change its world from a semi-normal techo-AI world into a magic/ mystery fantasy setting.

Also, I think the Yelling Bird in this side-story comic looks like a parrot or cockatoo, some kind of exotic bird, just look at the beak. Maybe every bird species has its own yelling bird? Maybe there is a new bird in town? Or, perhaps, this Yelling bird is an illusion/delusion as well.
