Happy New Year
Carl-E:
2011? Started with me losing a part time job that didn't get replaced until October. Ended with; my dog dying, getting knocked down by a car and my mother in critical care for a brain embolism. Somewhere in the middle, my home went into foreclosure.
I want to say that 2012 has to be better, but I've lived long enough to know better. But I know it will be different, and that things are changing, and I can hope for better.
And I do, and wish it to all of you as well.
Kugai:
Well, it's January 2nd here already, but Happy New Year to the rest of you anyway.
Welu:
I'm in January 2nd as well. Happy New Year to you all, especially the people with moods at the bottom of the ladder.
My New Year was at a mini house party at a friend's flat. Nothing amazing happened. Although a girl I had a drama with the last couple years but haven't seen in months was there and she apologized to me. Her words were, "Sorry about last time, you know, before. I was kinda... Yeah... You know."
Could have been a jerk and said, "Yeah, a jealous, self-entitled, wannabe martyr who wanted our mutual friends, especially your then boyfriend/one of my closest friends, to stop all contact with me but never and still don't have have the guts to actually say your problem with me to my face, I know." but instead I said, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure we'll see each other around."
Sorry about that. My bitterness is showing.
Here's to 2012 not being awful.
Carl-E:
Why no, you're hiding it quite well...
Seriously, you didn't show it to her, so you might as well air it out here!
lepetitfromage:
I'm a little late to the party, but wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year as well. I'm hoping 2012 holds better things for us all. 2011 was a roller coaster for me but more than anything i want it to be better for my parents...my mom and dad have both been dealing with health issues and rebuilding a flooded home at the same time.
here's to nature sucking a little less in 2012!
