Weird dreams you've had
Grognard:
I get it.
and now I have a headache.
Weird dream:
I was a minor English noble in the 1880-90s. Time travelling. so were others.
a squad of my retainers and I were trying to stop another time traveler from doing something bad. (bad??)
gun fight. with black powder pistols.
outnumbered. and bad guys were wearing undercover segmented body armor.
failed. lost 1-2 of my squad. we retreated.
I spent the rest of the dream trying to get in touch with the Army GHQ and warn them.
but was being thwarted and jumped by enemy time travelers.
94ssd:
I was riding through the woods on an ATV (something I've never done before) at night. I ended up going off the trail, and I was attacked by a rabid fox. I ran away, leaving my ATV behind.
Then I was part of a team composed of me and other theatre majors, whose job was to capture the foxes, who had some kind of connection to Sherlock Holmes? (we're in rehearsals for a Holmes play now). I really wanted to get my ATV back, but didn't want to go back out their during the night. Unfortunately, daylight never came before I woke up.
Blue Kitty:
I had a Five Nights at Freddy's dream and right as I felt safe my cat jumped onto the bed from a shelf, scaring the hell out of me
Carl-E:
OK, about two years ago I gave up on this thread, because - well, time partly, but also lack of interest.
See, I don't dream.
OK, technically I never remember my dreams, even when I wake in the middle of them. As far as I know, it stems from a long series of nightmares I had as a kid (around the age of 5), and I managed to develop a really good mental block to protect myself.
So the night before last, I finally lay down with only about 2 hours until I had to be up. I lay on my back for a change (my neck's been giving me a bit of trouble) and I was awakened by a dream fucking nightmare in just under an hour. I had trouble getting back to sleep, but fortunately finally did briefly, though with no further dreams, and none last night - thank god.
I've told no one about this - it's too gruesome, but i really need to tell someone, so I've chosen y'all. However, I'm going to spoiler the content of the dream itself, since it involves violence done to a pet and a certain amount of gore. Sorry if that alone was too much.
(click to show/hide)I'm out with our dog Lillie, she's a 60 pound black lab/springer spaniel mix. A real sweetheart. We're playing - just running around, tossing sticks and such. I recognize the area - it was near a place I lived in college, pretty desolate. It'
s time to head home, and I get into a car I have in the garage that hasn't run in 15 years - I keep on thinking I'm going to fix it up. It's running in the dream, but as beat up as it is now. Lillie, for some reason, doesn't ride in the car, but runs along side. I seem to have no problem with this. It's part of the play we were doing before, seems perfectly normal.
I (we?) pull around a corner, up a hill. The area's lightly wooded, and there's another dog - a big one - and it has something treed. Big pine tree, it's barking up the base, and of course Lillie runs over to investigate and join in the barking. I see something - a huge, black flash as whatever it is leaps out of the tree trying to get away from the new threat. The dogs pursue, and I am trapped in the car, in a panic. I go up and around the next corner, and I hear - and will never forget the sound of - the screams of dogs. The black flash had triggered something in my brain that screamed one thing...
Bear.
I turn to the back of the treed lot, and run from the car, and out from the trees comes Lillie. Not making a sound. Her snout's absent of all skin, it's just been torn off, leaving teeth, muscle, bone... her eyes looking at me in such fear...
That's when I awoke.
ev4n:
Carl, I so seldom dreamt that every one of them was treasured. Then I started treatment for apnea, and I seem to dream constantly.
Maybe nothing, maybe something?
