Um, nope, not at all.
I mean, good effort, but the actors just cant compete.
And personally I prefer my Star Trek the way all other Star Trek series are : you can jump anywhere into them and enjoy them. With DS9, you have to watch first to last or you are in deep trouble in understanding what the hell is going on.
Throg:
Yeah. That side profile made me think it was HannerDad at first, as did Hanners' bashfully happy body language.
Marigold's :3 face with the holopony is adorable.
With all the little hints getting dropped, I wonder who's gonna get 'put on the bus'. Sheesh.
If Dr. E-C is indeed an uploaded ghost, what does that mean, really? I mean, does one get a chance to mourn? Can it be said that someone's even passed on, or does one effectively become immortal? Are AnthroPC's with an uploaded 'ghost' considered taboo? Is *that* what Jeph means when he's got a ton of ideas?
Hmm, hmm, hmm.
Delator:
I'm not too concerned about the character development for our regulars. They'll have fun and they'll all be back on Earth before you know it.
I'm more concerned with meeting as many of the crew of this space station as we possibly can before they leave.
I am curious as to the nature of the gears that make this watch tick. :-)

I'll grant you Patrick Stewart...but seriously, that was a good one.

@ Black Sword
I think it might be a bit of both? Didn't Hanners spend some time growing up on the space station? The impact on growth in microgravity/induced 1g is relatively unknown (Although the anime Planetes covers it quite interestingly, as it falls under the genre of hard science fiction)
Regardless I'd imagine the human body develops more thoroughly and evenly on earth rather than in induced gravity while in orbit. Being on Earth may have been highly beneficial for Hanner's physical health.
People talk about Hanner's mental health plenty so I'm not gonna go over the same ground, it's all pretty well hashed out.
DSL:
Just being more at ease with yourself can contribute to physical health, and the appearance of physical health. I'd posit that comes from H. realizing she's had a positive effect on people around her, and they on her, vs. the isolation she felt on a space station full of people bent on their tasks.
Lasers? Doc Case probably runs the DVD player on movie night.
The Original Series for me. The Animated Series had its moments, too, if you can get past the Filmation animation.
