Oneman - Fabriclive 64 (2012) [Fabric]
UK Bass/garage/2-step

--- Quote from: XLR8R ---As bright as Oneman's torch burns for The Simpsons and the almighty ganja, it blazes even brighter for the distinctly British brand of hybrid house known as UK garage (or 2-step). The genre's trademark bump 'n' flex is all over this Rinse FM DJ's latest mix for the Fabriclive series, which pairs underground anthems with fresh cuts from a new breed of (mostly British) bass wunderkinder. Party-rocking is Oneman's strong suit, and he expertly lays out the cards here, drawing connections between new tracks from Distance, Pearson Sound, and Joy Orbison and the late-'90s/early-'00s cuts that have undoubtedly inspired them.

Jacques Greene - Ready EP (2012) [3024]
house/garage/bass

--- Quote from: XLR8R ---If there was ever any question as to whether Jacques Greene could continue to evolve and innovate after making such a big splash when he first appeared on the scene, his latest EP should go a long way towards putting any lingering doubts to rest. Landing somewhere in between the R&B-soaked burners which propelled his ascent up the bass-music ladder and the more elongated, introspective pieces...which have come along more recently, the Ready EP is a lush, alluring collection of masterful club music.

TNGHT (Hudson Mohawke x Lunice) - TNGHT EP (2012) [Warp/LuckyMe]
hip-hop/electronic

--- Quote from: P4K ---While their contemporaries experiment with footwork loops, yacht rock, and 1970s prog, TNGHT zero in on rap's fixation on the loud and chaotic...TNGHT may not come from the American rap scene (Lunice is in Montreal, while HudMo's Ross Birchard is based in Glasgow), but their connection to it is clear. Lunice and Birchard have great ears for what's what and who's making it: their engaging and well-curated hour-long mix for Diplo's BBC show ranged from the mush-mouthed grit of Florida's Spaceghostpurrp to Chicago's recent wave of teenage antagonism (Chief Keef, Sasha Go Hard) without showing any signs of dilettantism.  Their self-titled debut EP for Warp and LuckyMe spans 16 minutes of some of the year's most brazen, positively huge hip-hop sounds.

Hi folks!

Thank you. This thread has shown me worlds I never knew existed. Cheesy, but true. I've haven't felt like I had anything to contribute because I owe a great deal of the music I find to this forum.
Having never posted before, I don't want to mess anything up. How do I embed the supersecret download link?
--- Code: ---Do I just put the edited version of the address in here?

pwhodges:
Put what you think the link is, and the forum edits it to obscure it.
