Actually when that god-awful Mummy film with Tom Cruise came out, there was a joke going around that Tom Cruise's character was going to find a sarcophagus, open it to reveal a perfectly preserved Brendan Fraser who was going to punch him out, set up and tell the audience a "real story about the Mummy" and just reshow the Mummy (1999)

Real talk, I fucking love The Fifth Element. I was just scrolling around youtube and came across a couple of videos covering it (Honest Trailers and 100 Reasons to watch) and it just reminded me how much I just fucking love this movie. If you haven't seen it yet go watch the movie (and don't watch the linked videos if you haven't seen the movie yet either). Is it a perfect movie? Nope! Does it have its flaws? Yup. But its just a fun stylistic movie.
