Let's Talk About Triangles

Here is my one piece of triangle-trivia. It is probably pretty mundane to anyone who has any decent knowledge of maths.
You know how in school you got taught that the angles in a triangle always added up to 180 degrees? This does not happen if you get a triangle that is sufficiently large!

DrPhibes:
shouldnt that be 360? or am I stupid and haven't done maths in a long time?

schimmy:
My maths is pretty shoddy, but I just googled it, and it is indeed 180.

Skewbrow:
Well, on the surface of a (pseudo)sphere, or (more or less for the same reason) in a part of space bent out of shape by gravity it ain't exactly 180 degrees, and that's when the size of the triangle matters. The domain of geometry books is a flat plane, and there it is always 180 - irrespective of size.

Read the sines of times, and don't cosine a loan for the Greek government. Rimshot of the day.
