Random thought: when things are changing in my life, they often change almost simultaneously. So if I become depressive, or happy, there are five or six events that might have triggered it.

Another random thought: It always bothered me how in that one scene in The Matrix, the one where they pass some guards who are like "please present all your weapons" and Neo and Trinity have a whole arsenal under their trenchcoats, Neo has absolutely no qualms killing civilians. Sure, he has to kill them; that doesn't mean he wouldn't feel mental anguish over doing so. The guy is a hacker for crying out loud! Not a killing machine!

Drunk thought about that: It's never clarified, if these employees are humans. Maybe they're just some small priority guard program. It's the building of the agents after all.

Also, anyone that they haven't unplugged is potentially an Agent; and they're adult so their minds can not be freed anymore. They are condemned to be batteries for the rest of their "life".

i was imagining kismesissitude as being very similar to kismesitude only they dress each other up in frilly skirts until i realised 'kismesissitude' is the actual word that i've been spelling and pronouncing wrong :<

I just got the image of a midwife and a woman giving birth swinging towards each other on a trapeze - when they meet, the midwife pulls the baby out. The knife juggler is standing on the floor and cuts the umbilical cord with a knifethrow.

I'm not sure where the clowns and elephants fit in, though.

The father is one of the clowns.  And, judging by the size of our first OB's hands, the elephants are the doctors...

I can definitely understand how that could happen (the forum taking over, not the umm...trapeze midwife elephant doctor clown thing). I take mini breaks here and there and while I definitely miss it, I embrace the new found productivity. However....catching up once I get back is a whooooole 'nother ball game.

(click to show/hide)

the nifty thing is my wife has said we must go (this was a bit shocking) and take the girls. she will even pull the youngest out of school to get up there and go. She says it is a necessary education.

Now to find a hotel and talk her into VIP tix.

Got home. Emptied mailbox. Noticed one letter addressed to me. Entered room. Put down mail. Hung up coat. Sat down in front of computer. Browsed the web, wondering what I was supposed to be doing once I'd sat down. It must have been on the computer, because why else would I sit down?

Oh right. Mail. Meatspace is hard sometimes.

I got a call from my mom this evening, who relayed a fun story to me. My sister had called her, panicked because a bear was trying to break into the house. So mom told my sister to call 911. She got the state police on the line, and they told her they don't bother responding to calls about bears trying to break into houses anymore. The bear ended up getting bored, finding a trash can to eat out of, and wandering off.

No. It told me that I'd be receiving less housing benefits because my rent was lowered, which I knew already because I told the government my rent has been lowered... about four months after it happened. Oh well. It's going up again next month, but I'm getting less subsidy overall, because of reasons. I noticed this was the case after I'd submitted the change, which made me regret it since I could have gotten away with not saying anything. Only when I was considering reversing the application did my moral compass give me a mental slap to the head, because y'know, subsidy fraud. Greed is an insidious thing.

'Sugar, We're Going Down' is an amazing pop song with some brilliant lyrics ('I'm just a notch on your bedpost/but you're just a line in a song') but the rest of their stuff is sooooo clever clever that I really can't be arsed with it.
