i'm not a cutter (while its actually quite hard to physically hurt me, have the pain tolerance of a bruise-covered baby) but i've noticed i have my own approximation - picking at any imperfections (especially things like tiny zits, ingrown hairs that are just starting, ect) until they're giant, bloody holes. its only a halfway-conscious action, and it only happens when i'm feeling absolutely shitty. and, strangely enough, it doesn't hurt, just a mild discomfort. in fact, its normally the mild discomfort that tips me off i'm doing it, but i can't bother to stop, or don't care enough, or whatever.

TLDR i have a big bloody hole on my arm right now that's completely self-imposed.

I bite my lip. Usually I stop after it gets too worse, but one time my mother had to take me to the doctors to get my lip fixed.

Dicken's verbosity makes a lot more sense when you consider that his stuff was written as a serial novel. That shit was never meant to be read as a single novel and it shows.

Ahahaha. My friend's cat is the stupidest animal ever. It licked some siracha hot sauce off her plate, and immediately regretted it, crying and licking the carpet. Burn finally goes away, so what does our intrepid idiot kitty do? Goes to lick up some more!

One of my friends had a blind cat. It would, with perfect agility, climb up from the floor to the sofa, walk with perfect balance along the top of the sofa, and then fall flat on its face because it couldn't see where the sofa ended.

I had a cat that was brain-damaged. This affected its judgement so that it would, for instance, jump up onto a bed too fast and fall straight off the other side.

It spent most of its life in the airing cupboard (where the hot water tank is, for those who might not use the term the same way) - so its judgement of comfort was obviously unimpaired.

I have a friend who put leftover food out for the birds. One night, they had a curry of the more infernal type, and as usual put the leftovers out for the birds.

Did you know that a crow will put its head all the way in to a water butt if it eats curry?

My dog seems to hate sleeping when other people are up. She'll be near conked out and then suddenly shoot up and eventually drift off before shooting up. Sometime she snores with her eyes open.
