Meh. Everyone has different tastes folks. When I was watching Avatar yesterday, half of the time I was smiling and the other half I was crying. I don't care if the plot is generic and predictable, it's masterfully executed and the movie itself is undeniably beautiful. To me that's a good film.

So Sarah's stepdad suggested I try to get a job at a funeral home. Apparently someone suggested it to him years ago and he didn't, but he knows I'm looking for career ideas and honestly? The idea intrigued me. Any thoughts?

The one thing I do know, at least around here, is that it does tend to be a family business. Generations tend to be morticians, from father to son to grandson to granddaughter.

I've done that an awful lot in the last few years, and I'm very good at it. But I also would much rather be in a line of work that is more universally happy. Otherwise my depression would get the best of me.

I lost my laptop charger in the library. I asked the librarian, but they didn't have it. They did, however, have one that looked just like mine but had the owner's name written on it. That's when I realized that I'm stupid.

Using a silver sharpie, I have labeled my laptop and my new charger with my name and phone number. I also put "calling cards" in my wallet and backpack. So now if a good person finds any of these they can be returned to me.

Although the fact that my laptop is held together by gaff tape does help distinguish it.

In other news pornhub's "Give America Wood" promotion resulted in them pledging to plant 15,473 trees. At 100 videos a tree, 1,547,300 qualifying pornographic videos (only vids in Pornhub's "Big Dick" category counted towards trees) were viewed on 25 April this year.

I didn't want to get my friends a, "You're having a boy!" card. I debated getting a generic congratulations card and writing, "Your child appeared to have a penis!"

Although the specific party is also a house warming so I just got a generic congratulations and I'm going to write, "YAY!" in it.

Whenever I do a postnatal visit I look to see whether any of the cards are gender-neutral. So far, after almost a month of doing at least four visits a day, I've seen precisely 0 gender-neutral cards and only about four that weren't pink/blue.

I think when I looked earlier in the card section, the oones that didn't mention gender were only available in white.

Kind of related and I may have told this story before: Someone I know told me about a family member of theirs being told their child would be appeared to have a vagina so they bought loads of pink clothes, pink toys, painted the room pink and then child was born and OOPSPENIS. They decided screw returning everything, the child better like pink.
