Find the latest news at http://www.humblebundle.com/ and see Botanicula here and utterly fail at keeping from smiling.
With yesterday's release of the Humble Botanicula Debut - one of those games that's impossible to remember how to spell - Amanita Designs provides a stunning display of self-sacrifice (or at least revenue-sacrifice) by making the game available for a name-your-price immediately after launch, including Machinarium and Samorost 2, with a significant cut going to a charity that conserves vulnerable habitats. In doing so, they're effectively giving up at least half of the revenue they would have received by means of conventional sales, provided that the bundle sells for the same ten dollars as the actual game, which is by no means a guarantee. That, I think you'll agree, is a pretty damn admirable course of action.
But as it turns out, GOG.com had been accepting pre-orders for Botanicula at nine dollars each. People got a bit miffed to discover that at the moment of release, they could have gotten Botanulica plus three other games plus a movie for roughly the same price. So what does GOG do? Well, instead of saying "Buy the humble bundle if you want it so badly, you stingy jerks", they went ahead gave every pre-orderer a download for a soundtrack and artbook, Machinarium, and also a copy of The Witcher 1 so putting their faith into a pre-order will get them something not included in the Bundle. That's GOG for you. Makes me seriously reconsider buying any game from anyone else ever again.
Anyway, Botanicula looks like a fantastic game and I'll be putting ten dollars down for the bundle as soon as I'm able, and I think you should do the same. Here is a first impressions. I laughed the entire way through.

Bastion
Braid
Limbo
Lone Survivor
Psychonauts
Super Meat Boy

In other words, the best deal of all time. 0% hyperbole. I'm only barely able to restrain the torrent of exclamation marks I want to put in this post.

Jesus christ this is amazing...
If I didn't already own every single one of those games I would be whipping my wallet out.
LTK:
And how could I forget showing you the trailer?
Look who learned to link to full-window youtube videos.
TheFuriousWombat:
Easily the best HIB yet! "Limbo" alone puts it over the top (I really love that game a whole lot).
