I'm pretty sure that the gas cylinder contains carbon dioxide since it's gray. That's the color code for CO2 in this neck of the woods. (I live in Keene,NH which isn't too far away from Northampton,MA)

Welcome, new person!
Faye presumably knows some of the safety precautions, since she's done metal sculpture. On the other hand, isn't there a safety rule about having flammable materials nearby?
