pwhodges:
Things happen to you all the day; too much to tell your partner, on any ordinary day, even when asked.  Yes, Cosette asking Marten out was a tad unusual - but it was the kind of mistake he could just have shrugged off and forgotten about; in fact he got momentarily flustered, but even so, all he did was say, "no, I'm already taken".  I don't see that not mentioning that is any kind of subterfuge at all - just a missed opportunity to let Dora feel good about getting dibs on a man who seems slightly popular.

In Jim's case, he has shown a little more awareness of the potential for upset (even if not really justified) by mentioning to Sam that she shouldn't tell.  Although it's not really a big deal, he is being a bit thoughtless using Dora to babysit on this occasion.

Yes, that would be the reasonable way for things to be. :/

Kombatkoala:
If I was to inform my significant other every time someone showed an interest in my availability then while it would not be a daily conversation it would likely be at least a bi-weekly conversation. In my opinion Marten did nothing wrong when he did not tell her about Cossette asking him out because it honestly was a thing of no concern.

Jim is not really in the wrong for asking Dora to babysit either. It appeared to be a last ditch effort to avoid rescheduling, and though it may be a bit socially awkward she did agree to it and had to know that was at the very least a possibility.

Asterus:
On a completely different topic: I wonder if Sam will end up learning how to dual-wield the broadsword and the battle spatula at the same time? Just to transition from the angsty drama that Dora may be headed for.

Is it cold in here?:
Who would teach her martial arts?

Momo might have a module for that.
