Meh, I think it depends on where and how you were raised. For instance, in Alabama most of us already learned how to drive a car by the time we're 10 years old. Some other states believe it's illegal to just let a child sit in the drivers seat even without keys in the ignition. Also, if you were raised doing a lot of hunting, or just living in a rural area, you kinda pick up on how to sharpen knives, and any other kind of blade for that matter.
