Hannelore is still counting things even though counting is no longer as much fun. This is covered in the wiki.

Method of Madness:
I don't think Hanners was working in the coffee shop yet when that comic happened. As for non-comic sources, they're fun to read, but I don't consider them canon.

Jeph had originally planned to incorporate the Formspring answers into the comic. He chose not to do that in the end, but it's an argument that they should be considered canon.
