Is it cold in here?:

Only one way to find out.

One of the many things that could go wrong is if Tai needs an LTR and Dora has a rebound relationship with her instead. On the other hand, Dora doesn't seem on board with the idea of rebound relationships(526).

Throg:
I dunno about the very last panel. It's not like Marten has a vested interested in (a) seeing Dora move on to a relationship where she's clearly not necessarily all too psyched about, or (b) seeing his ex-gf hook up with his boss, when he knows that (c) his boss has a history of promiscuous flings and hook-ups on a level that he and Dora had long since moved past.

And then he says "good luck"?

I dunno. That's a level of 'chill bro' that I can't relate to, but seems inhumanly egoless and passive.

Anyway, nice cliffhanger for the weekend.

I'm almost reading that last line as a, "Well, I'm not going to be able to stop her, so might as well wish her luck" kind of statement. Not completely passive, but more along that famous quote that ends with "lie back and enjoy it".

TheEvilDog:
Wow. I've seen train wrecks that were less messy than this.

Not because its Tai or Dora themselves, per se. Its Tai running off to get a straight answer from Dora. One), its the morning after, its only been a few hours since Tai's pep talk. Dora probably hasn't had that much to think about it and get her head around it, so Tai coming in the next day asking for an answer is not going to be the best way to start things off.

Two) We can discuss Dora's view of relationships until the cows come home, but we do know that she does need to get back in the saddle sooner or later. The thing is, should she be getting into a serious relationship now? Jim was one date and she realised that things felt a little weird. We know that Tai is getting tired of the one night stands with her dorm-mates and looking for a mature relationship, whether or not she is actually ready for such a relationship is also another part of it. Most, mature people in situations like that do tend to wait a full day before going off to get an answer.

Three) Tai calling Dora "wishy-washy"... Sorry but if you're interested in someone and you call them "wishy-washy" without really knowing them is really just setting things up to fail (and in all fairness, Tai doesn't really know Dora as a friend or a lover as Faye and Marten, respectively, have. All her interactions with Dora have come from group social events and environments. She has never just gone out for drinks with Dora, or gone to the movies with her or just simply hung out with her). So just Tai calling Dora "wishy-washy" after one night without an answer just smacks of an immaturity that indicates that Tai isn't really ready for a relationship.

I see the look and attitude as bemused more than anything, with maybe a twinge of "I wonder what it would be like to be that decisive." Her reaction is pretty much the exact opposite of what he would do, and he's amused but confounded by it.
