I don't think Paul uses avatars from this comic. He may have at one point, but I'm pretty sure that you're confusing him and me.
Which, I'm afraid, does not make you a man. Yet.
Also, pretty sure Jim Beam does not actually contain any Jim Beam.

Some of my avatars are Marten; I've recently modified the way they are selected to even out the probability of each being chosen, so you may see some unfamiliar ones now (the algorithm built in to Apache seems to be poorly designed, as well as having a buggy implementation which I have now worked around). I only have one human character (male) from each comic represented, and some are more common than others. In rough order of frequency, they are:
Scott Pilgrim (from the comic, convention sketches that I've found online, and a few fan-art)
Naota Nandaba (from FLCL - anime, and manga)
Shinji Ikari (from Evangelion - anime, manga, and some fan-art)
Soichiro Arima (from Kare Kano - anime, and manga)
Marten Reed (guess)
Akito Tenkawa (from Martian Successor Nadesico - anime)
Edward Elric (from Fullmetal Alchemist - anime(s))
Johan Holm (from Anders Loves Maria - a web comic by Rene Engström, now finished)
Simon (from Gurren Lagann - anime)
NegaScott (from Scott Pilgrim, of course - comic and game)
Kintaro Oe (from Golden Boy - anime)
Kyuubey (An alien who looks rather like a cat, from Puella Magi Madoka Magica - anime)
Various cartoon cats (from QC, FLCL, Scott Pilgrim, Jeph's sketches)
Miscellaneous (from Jeph's sketches, and the Internet in general)
Personal images (Pix of me, some of my dogs, a horse we had, photos I've taken)
Scott, Shinji, Naota, and Marten appear with musical instruments in some pix; also Scott with headphones, and Shinji with earphones.
