Dunno if this has already been brought up in previous comments or whatnot, but interesting:
Apparently Marten was originally not cool with the prospect of Dora/Tai makeouts.
So I guess Marten's views and feelings have been evolving, and he's finally come to this place through introspection, etc. Makes much sense to those of us who were all "How is Marten just fine with it?" Big ups to Jeph to believable character development.

Was thinking that both Faye and Marten had appropriate reactions to Tai's phone call - Faye, who is an acquaintance, reacted with a "WTH! Don't you understand that I'm sleeping!" Because lets face it, if someone you didn't know well called up in the middle of the dark to ask advice on their new date, your reaction would likely be similar.
MArten, being a little more invested in Tai as a friend is ready to talk, even though it's weird that this is his ex.
But hey, at least he learned to put on pants before going out for this talk. Progress.

Wow. Don't remember that. Actually, if anything, if Tai keeps coming to Marten, I can see the feelings from that strip or some form, and just boil over with exasperation and go ape shit. Has Marten ever gone ape shit? Best I can guess is really angry drunk post Dora. I mean, a normal guy can only take so much nagging, questions, and begging for advice on how someone gets your old girl.
