Obsidian kickstarter

snalin:
So, Obsidian, the guys behind most of the great isometric rpgs - the Baldurs Gate games, the Icewind Dale games, the old Fallouts (and new Vegas), Arcanum, Planescape: Torment and probably some other really awesome games that I've forgotten, has put up a kickstarter. The project is called Project Eternity, and while there's not much out about it yet (it's an isometric, party-based RPG, there's companions, there's tactical combat, it's high fantasy), I trust these guys to make one of the best ever. They've done that a lot. Other people seems to trust them too, they've raked in 900k in a day.

Link is here. I might be even more excited by this than Wasteland 2.

I'm excited to see what Fargo does with Wasteland 2, but I'm actually certain that what Cain, Sawyer and Avellone pump out here with this will be great.

ackblom12:
So a big update on things here...

ackblom12:
So including Paypal donations, it looks like Project Eternity is going to hit the $3.5mil mark, break the Kickstarter record set by Double Fine and include a 2nd big city. This means that P:E is going to be a bigger game than Baldur's Gate II. This is going to be a hell of a project and I would not be surprised (or upset) in the least if this is pushed back to late 2014 or 2015 for release because of it.

17 hours left on the clock, and I think they'll reach 3,5 on kickstarter alone, with just above 100k to go. EEEE!
